Cervical Cancer
Some facts which women need to know are:
1. Cervical cancer can be caused by changing multiple sex partners or but having intercourse at early age of life.
2. Tobacco smoking can also be one cause for cervical cancer.
3. Cervical cancer can be prevented if proper care is taken from the start because it takes time for the normal cells in the cervix to transform into cancer cells.
4. Actually there are no early symptoms of cervical cancer, you will feel symptoms only when it becomes aggressive and starts damaging the nearby cells and tissues. Abnormal bleeding from the vagina is one symptom for cervical cancer. Abnormal bleeding can be in any form such as bleeding after intercourse, bleeding after menopause, bleeding starting and stopping between periods, heavy bleeding in menstrual cycle as compared to normal menstrual bleeding.
5. Unwanted and bad smelling discharge from the vagina due to formation of tumor in the vagina is also one sign for cervical cancer.
6. Excessive birth of children can even give rise to cervical cancer.
7. Excessive use of oral contraceptives also develops cervical cancer.
8. Severe pain in the vagina followed by discomfort and irritation.
